Introduction

The EVK1100 is a fully functional embedded computer system.

The circuit board has a flexible power system that accepts 8-20V DC input. The on-board DC/DC converters create system voltage used on the board. The core voltage for the CPU is generated through internal regulator in the AT32UC3A0512.

The EVK1100 embeds an Atmel Dataflash (8MBytes) and a SDRAM (32MBytes). The on-board memories can be expanded with a MMC or SD card through the SD/MMC slot.

Several communication interfaces are available on the EVK1100

The JTAG connector is used to program the on-chip flash and to debug. High-end emulators using the NEXUS interface can be connected to the NEXUS port if this connector is soldered in.

The expansion connectors provide developers access to unused interfaces from the AT32UC3A0512 microcontroller. This allows developers to create add-on boards with expanded functionality.
