The SB201-1 for 1-cell in series applications, connect the cell as shown in Figure 1: Positive terminal of cell to CELL+ and negative terminal to CELL-.
Load or charge the battery through PACK+ and PACK-.
To start the part and thus possibly open the FETs, a charge condition must be initiated by a charger.
